Sawing Metal for Beginners: Geometric & Shape Statement Earrings

  • Workshop DIY School 5135 Penn Ave Pittsburgh, PA (map)

Learning to saw metal efficiently is a foundational skill of metalworking. In this metalworking class you will learn the ins and outs of successfully wielding a saw against sheet metal. Using traditional hand tools we will cut out, refine, customize, and assemble your chosen design. Whether your style is quirky, geometric, or more free form & organic- we've got you covered. You are the designer in this class with a variety of shapes and styles encouraged.

All materials needed to create your earrings will be provided. Each student leaves class with their own handcrafted brass earrings complete with surgical steel ear wires, a list of resources, and the badass ability to cut metal and modify metal with your bare hands.
